My little pleasure; picking teeny little strawberries from where they grow wild, entangled in the ivy on the wall of a house down the road. I pick a few everyday on the way back from work and they are truely the best strawberries I have ever tasted (and I have tasted ALOT of strawberries...)

In response to:Eating Delhi

missing delhi and its eating places. i'm woking in a diffeent city though delhi is home. so its nice to get a taste of dilli's food and eating joints through this blog. thanks:)

In response to:Lynx

Hey Pickle<br>

Actually I think the season for alphonsos is right at the end, the mangos that are on sale back in London are probably some other delectable variety. Though you shouldn't think you're getting short changed by getting alphonsos, they're considered one of the best varieties in India. They're shipped from Maharastra (the state Mumbai is the capital of) all over the world and often it's the best ones that go abroad - so no complaining! However the price you pay over there is somewhat different to that over here, the price for mangos on the market ranges from Rs 10 to Rs 30 a kilo (my juicy safedas weigh in at rs 25). That means that the 3 kilos of mangos I bought yesterday (which worked out to 7 large, heart-sized mangos) cost about 90p!

In response to:Mangos

Yeah, Bieb! What about Alphonsos?
